The Roostertales Bass Club had an awesome tournament day on Saguaro- Saturday April 20. We had 19 boats. Fifteen boats weighed limits. The top two winning bags were 17.02# and 16.94#, followed by bags of 14.6# and 14.2#. Fish were still on the beds, although not as heavy as in March. It appeared that new fish were moving up consistent with the upcoming full moon. Water temperatures were in the prime zone- 68 to 72 degrees. Various methods worked including bed baits, dropshot, senkos, flukes, jerk baits, and jigs.
Our next tournament is May 11 on Roosevelt Lake. Our meeting is at BassPro on Monday May 6 at 7 pm. See you then.
